Terms of Service

Effective Date: February 4, 2026 · Last Updated: February 4, 2026

1. Service Description

IFG, LLC d/b/a IFG Quantum ("IFG," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website ifgquantum.com and provides the CBOM Scanner, a free external cryptographic posture assessment tool available at ifgquantum.com/cbom (the "Scanner"). The Scanner performs passive inspection of publicly accessible TLS/SSL configurations on user-specified domains and generates a Cryptographic Bill of Materials (CBOM) summary report.

IFG also offers professional cryptographic discovery, assessment, and advisory services through its proprietary ACDI (Automated Cryptographic Discovery & Intelligence) platform.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using this website or the Scanner, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the website or Scanner. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

3. Acceptable Use & User Representations

By using the Scanner, you represent and warrant that:

  • You have authorization to assess the domain you enter, or the domain is your own.
  • You will not use the Scanner to perform reconnaissance for malicious purposes.
  • You will not attempt to circumvent rate limits, access controls, or security measures.
  • You will not use automated scripts or bots to submit bulk scan requests.
  • You will not misrepresent scan results or attribute them to IFG without written consent.

Unauthorized or abusive use may result in immediate termination of access without notice.

4. Technical Scope & Limitations

The Scanner performs passive TLS/SSL inspection only. Specifically:

  • The Scanner connects to the target domain's publicly accessible TLS endpoint — the same connection any web browser makes.
  • The Scanner does not perform penetration testing, vulnerability exploitation, port scanning beyond standard HTTPS (443), credential brute-forcing, or any active attack techniques.
  • The Scanner does not access internal networks, private systems, or any resources not publicly available via standard TLS negotiation.
  • Scan results reflect the public-facing cryptographic configuration at the time of the scan and may vary between scans due to server-side load balancing, CDN configurations, or certificate rotation.

5. Data Handling & Privacy

For the Scanner:

  • We do not store scan results after delivery to the user's browser.
  • We do not share scan results with third parties.
  • We do not publicly cache or display results for any domain.
  • Server logs may temporarily record domain names for rate limiting and abuse prevention. These logs are automatically purged within 30 days.

If you submit personal information through contact forms or Typeform integrations (name, email, organization), that information is governed by our Privacy Policy.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, software, algorithms, scoring methodologies, reports, and visual design on this website and in the Scanner are the property of IFG, LLC and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. IFG has multiple patents pending related to cryptographic discovery methodology (including USPTO Application No. 63/864,494).

You may not copy, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from the Scanner, its outputs, scoring algorithms, or report formats without prior written consent from IFG.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SCANNER AND ALL CONTENT ON THIS WEBSITE ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

IFG does not warrant that scan results are complete, accurate, or current. Results are based on point-in-time passive inspection and may not reflect the full cryptographic posture of any organization. The Scanner is not a substitute for professional security assessment, penetration testing, or compliance audit.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IFG, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, ADVISORS, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE WEBSITE OR SCANNER, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY.

IN NO EVENT SHALL IFG'S TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00).

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless IFG and its officers, directors, employees, advisors, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Scanner or website; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party right, including any intellectual property or privacy right; or (d) any claim that your use of the Scanner caused damage to a third party.

10. Rate Limits & Fair Use

The Scanner is subject to rate limiting to prevent abuse. Current limits are approximately 10 scans per hour per IP address. Excessive or automated usage may result in temporary or permanent blocking. IFG reserves the right to modify rate limits at any time without notice.

11. Third-Party Services

This website may contain links to or integrations with third-party services, including Typeform (for contact forms) and Calendly (for scheduling). Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. IFG is not responsible for the practices of third-party service providers.

12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the use of the website or Scanner shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Travis County, Texas.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid, such provision will be changed and interpreted to accomplish the objectives of such provision to the greatest extent possible under applicable law, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
